Chorus (refrain)

 Toora loora loora

Toora loora loooo

Toora loora loora

John Trimble, we love you!

Over in Terra Linda,

About seven years ago,

Father Cyril spoke to John Trimble

in words so soft and low,

“Please help me find musicians

who’d like to learn to play

good old Irish music

for our next St. Paddy’s day.”

Chorus

John just jumped right to it

and made fliers by the score.

He posted them on walls in pubs and schools and music stores.

The night of the first meeting,

so many came to play

good old Irish music

for the next St. Paddy’s day.

Instrumental

Everyone practiced hard for weeks

learning planxtys, jigs and reels,

slow waltzes and quick hornpipes

for dancers to kick their heels.

So when the party day arrived,

the band was ready to play

good old Irish music

right on St. Paddy’s Day!

Chorus

Years have passed

since that first gig,

The time has quickly flown!

Look how the Irish music scene

in Marin has really grown!

So thanks to you, John Trimble,

for all that you have done

to bring the joy of Irish music

into the lives of everyone!

Chorus

Instrumental

Sung to the traditional tune of “Irish Lullaby”
